Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions constitute a written agreement between Highland Mini Tours and its customer(s) this being the person(s) who uses the products or services of Highland Mini Tours.

Tour Bookings
Booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment, bookings can be made by contacting us through Highland Mini Tours website www.highlandminitours.co.uk
Bookings can also be made by telephone on +(44) 7931 972735
Bookings cannot be made at our registered address.

Booking Payment & Deposits
If you book a tour through Highland Mini Tours enquiries you will be invoiced through our secure Pay Pal service. When the required payment or deposit has been made your tour is booked and confirmed.
When making your payment for Highland Mini Tours & Half Day Private Guided Tours, full payment is required at the time of booking.
When making your booking for Full Day Private Guided Tours & Multi Day Tours. A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your tour.

Balance Payments
Balance payments for Full Day Private Guided Tours & Multi Day Tours are due 21 days prior to your Tour(s) booking.
A separate invoice will be sent for the balance of payment(s) 21 days prior to your Tour(s)

Non-Returns & Refunds for Customer Cancellations
Should you wish to cancel your tour after booking and prior to your tour date, a £50.00 non-returnable fee applies for administration costs.
After the administration fee has been deducted from your payment, any PayPal charges will also be deducted from your payment.
Should you wish to cancel your tour, this can only be done by submitting a timed and dated email to alastair@highlandminitours.co.uk

Percentage Returnable
Up to 21 days prior to your Tour – Deposit or Full Payment less £50 non-returnable fee & charges.
20 days to 8 days prior to your tour – 50% of your payment & charges
7 days or less prior to your Tour – 0% of your payment.
Should you not show up for your Tour, no refunds are available. We do not accept responsibility for your turning up at a later than the agreed time for your tour.

Returns & Refunds for Highland Mini Tours Cancellation
Should Highland Mini Tours cancel your tour for any reason due to illness or bad weather conditions, you will receive a full refund less any PayPal charges.
If we do have to cancel a tour due to road closures, we will firstly offer you an alternative tour or refund 50% of your tour price.
Highland Mini Tours do not accept responsibility for road closures, and tours not being able to operate due to unforeseen circumstances.

Children Under Five Years Old
We cannot accept children under the age of five on our tours, unless the parent/guardian has agreed at the time of book to provide an age appropriate car seat.

Ferry Cancellations
Should for any reason due to bad weather, your ferry crossing is cancelled by the ferry operator, we will advise you as soon as possible prior to your tour. You will receive all ferry costs back to you after the ferry operator has refunded us.
Highland Mini Tours accepts no responsibility for ferry operators cancelling ferry’s due to bad weather or for any other reason.

Third Party Operators
Highland Mini Tours on occasions use third party operators to conduct your tour, we use these operators in order to make sure you are not disappointed. We will notify you to inform you of this.
Our third party operators are not all fully knowledgeable regarding all parts of Scotland, however, we do use operators with clean vehicles and professional drivers.
Highland Mini Tours do not accept responsibility for third party operators.

Attractions & Entry Fees
All our quotation for Tours do not include Attractions or Entry Fees, however we can arrange to book attractions for you at the time of booking your Tour. Should you wish us to book attractions we will require any payments up front at the time of your booking. Highland Mini Tours do not accept responsibility for attractions being closed or cancelling trips.

Food & Drink
All our quotations for tours do not include any food or drink, however on selected tours we provide complimentary refreshments (free of charge)
Our refreshments are a gesture of good will. Highland Mini Tours do not accept any responsibility for the refreshments provided.
Highland Mini Tours do not allow the consumption of alcohol in any of our vehicles.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on any of our vehicles.

Lost Property
Highland Mini Tours are fully insured to operate our tours, however, we do not provide personal insurance. You are responsible for your own property – Highland Mini Tours accept  no responsibility for your personal belongings.

Refusal of Travel
Highland Mini Tours reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whose conduct or manner is likely to cause any offence or upset to any other passengers or our guides. In this case any passenger refused will receive no refund.

Terms & Conditions Agreement
By making your payment by Credit or Debit Card at the time of booking, you have agreed to our terms & conditions.

Comments

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
